Greybeard Philosophy — Podcast Trailer
Welcome to Greybeard Philosophy.
This podcast is the audio companion to my writing at GreybeardPhilosophy.com—short essays rooted in wilderness, shaped by the guides I’ve carried for years, and written for everyday life.
Some wilderness is chosen. Some wilderness finds us. Either way, pressure has a way of revealing what governs us—without and within. And whatever we carry inside doesn’t stay private for long. Families, teams, schools, and institutions tend to amplify—or erode—what we bring into them.
Each episode follows a simple rhythm.
First, a story or reflection—something from the trail, from leadership, from home, or from the interior life.
Then, one clear idea to carry forward.
And finally, an internal practice—short, practical, and meant to be lived. Something you can do in a few minutes, not something you have to admire from a distance.
And let me say what this is not.
This isn’t a self-help podcast. I’m not here to hand you a bullet-point list of habits to make you impressive, productive, or successful. I’m here to help you slow down long enough to hear what you already know deep down—the inner voice, the inner self, the quiet place where the keys are kept.
If you’re looking for philosophy as practice—words that help you stay steady, choose well, and learn something for the next trek—you’re in the right place.
Subscribe, and we’ll walk this trail together.
